It has only been a couple of days since Marshmallow released for 
Nexus 5, but some of you may already be missing the sound boost from <a href="http://androiding.how/how-to-fix-viper4android-selinux-policy-issues-on-lollipop/" target="_blank">Viper4Android on Lollipop</a>.<br />

Well, luckily for you, things aren’t messed up between Viper4Android 
and Marshmallow, instead, just changing the SELinux policy to permissive
 ensures that you can install Viper4Android on Nexus 5 with Android 6.0 
on-board without any issues.<br />

Install Stock G928TUVU2COI5 Firmware on T-Mobile Galaxy S6 Edge Plus

A new update has been rolling out  for the T-Mobile Galaxy S6 Edge 
Plus, that’s based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop firmware. Users can readily
 download this update over-the-air. However, for those who are unable to
 update it from the software update option or are unable to manually 
install it through the stock recovery, here is a simple tutorial which 
will get your S6 Edge Plus to the latest firmware. This will install the
 G928TUVU2COI5 firmware on your device.<br />

Upgrade can be done using an Odin PC software, specially designed 
for Samsung Galaxy devices. Using Odin, you get the privilege to root, 
install stock firmware, install custom recovery and more on the Galaxy 
device. The listed firmware for S6 Edge Plus is a full firmware package.
 So instead of the update you need to install the whole package and 
restore your device to stock. Hence, a full backup is highly 
recommended; as Odin may remove all apps and system data to perform a 
clean install during the process.<br />

<li>Make sure you have the perfect device and variant. This tutorial is 
suitable for only T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus SM-G928T variant.

<li>Make sure you have downloaded the Lollipop<strong> </strong>firmware for your T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. If it is a zip file, extract it to get the firmware file with <strong>.tar.md5 </strong>extension.</li>
<li>Now turn off your phone and boot it into the <strong>Download Mode.</strong> To
 do this, turn off your device and then press and hold Volume Down + 
Home + Power buttons simultaneously for 2-3 seconds. When you see the 
warning screen with a yellow triangle sign, press the Volume Up/Down key
 to enter Download/Odin mode</li>
<li>Download the required Odin.zip file and extract the file on your PC. You will get the <strong>Odin3_v3.10.7.exe</strong> file. Open it as administrator to get to the Odin window.</li>
<li>Connect your S6 Edge Plus to the computer using the USB cable.</li>

<li>Before you proceed to firmware installation on Odin, make sure everything is set according to the screenshot.</li>
<li>Now, click the <strong>Start </strong>button on Odin to start installation. will restart. It’s the green signal that indicates successful 
installation. In case you get Fail! message, make sure you have gone

Once you have successfully booted into the firmware, you can now enjoy your Lollipop firmware.<br />

If you come across bootloop, then this may occur sometimes when you 
have installed a new firmware. To solve this, remove the battery and 
then put it back again. Boot to Recovery by holding <em>Volume Down + Home + Power</em>.
 In Recovery, select “wipe data/factory reset” then select “Yes” This 
will delete all user data. Now Select Reboot to System. If you want a

How to Create Flashable Zips for CWM/TWRP Recovery

<em>Custom recovery</em>, <em>flash Zip files </em>are the frequent 
phrases you might hear during your short journeys in the development 
forums. If you’re new to the advanced version of Android usage, then you
 might find it a little hard to understand these. But once you 
understand them you’ll find them more easy than tying your shoelace<br />

A custom recovery is a modified version of the stock recovery that 
includes several advanced features like taking backups, flashing files, 
partitioning file system and many more. A custom recovery is capable of 
flashing files with the <em>.Zip </em>extension, but not all the files with Zip format are flashable.<br />

Have you ever thought, what makes these Zip files flashable and why 
don’t your podcast Zip won’t flash? Actually its a bit simple, the 
custom recovery identifies the updater scripts in the folder named <em>META-INF  </em>of
 the Zip files which tell the recovery what to do. So if you’re 
interested in making your own flash-able Zip to flash files on your 
device, then simply follow our guide.<br />

<h2>
Create Flashable Zips for CWM/TWRP Recovery</h2>
<ol>
<li>Download the Sample Zip file for the flashing purpose → <a href="http://adf.ly/1PLIsX" target="_blank"><span style="color: #3366ff;"><strong>Click Here</strong></span></a></li>
<li>Open the downloaded Zip file (don’t extract it). You will see the following folders:
<ul>
<li>META-INF</li>
<li>system</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>META-INF is the folder that contains the updater scripts. You will find these two files in the <em>META-INF\com\google\android\</em> directory.
<ul>
<li>update-binary</li>
<li>updater-script</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>The Update-binary consists the source code of the actions to be 
performed according to the updater-script. We can edit the 
updater-script to define our own process, but to just flash the files 
the sample Zip is enough. So don’t tamper any of these two files.</li>
<li>Now the other folder we saw is the <em>system </em>folder. As you can see it is the System folder of the Android, so you can add any file of the System partition to this folder.</li>
<li>For instance, if you have edited the SystemUI.apk for a theme and now you want to flash it. So you have to add it to the <em>system/app/ </em>which means you have to create a folder named <em>app </em>and then paste the SystemUI.apk in it.</li>
<li>Similarly check the file paths in your Android device and add the 
files in their corresponding path by creating folders and sub folders in
 the process. You can add any proper file (flashing improper files may 
brick your device) in this system folder with proper names and paths.</li>
<li>As Android is Linux-based, everything is case-sensitive. So make 
sure of the Capital and Small letters of the file names and folder names
 which you’re adding to the system folder.</li>
<li>Once you add everything to the system folder, close the Zip transfer it to your device and flash it via a custom recovery.</li>
</ol>
That’s it, you’ve learned how to create your own flashable Zip for your mods and tweaks.<br />

 you have VTS downloaded and installed, you have to navigate to the 
program's APK directory, in my case: C:\Program Files (x86)\Virtuous Ten
 Studio\External\ApkTool</li>
<li>You may see many APKTool.jar's depending on when you installed VTS. I have 4 as I installed it months ago.</li>
<li>As you may notice, the latest does not appear there, so you will have to download the latest apktool from ibotpeaches: <a href="https://bitbucket.org/iBotPeaches/apktool/downloads" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">https://bitbucket.org/iBotPeaches/apktool/downloads</a></li>
<li>Download and place "apktool_2.0.0rc3.jar into C:\Program Files (x86)\Virtuous Ten Studio\External\ApkTool</li>
<li>To get VTS to recognize that 2.0.0rc3 is the latest, you will have 
to CREATE a new text file on your desktop named "apktool_2.0.0rc3.txt" 
and inside the txt file, type in a decimal binary anywhere (e.g. type 
2.0.0.3 inside)</li>
<li>Save the text file, then rename the text file from 
"apktool_2.0.0rc3.txt" to "apktool_2.0.0rc3.version", overwriting the 
original extension.</li>
<li>From the desktop, drag the .version file into C:\Program Files (x86)\Virtuous Ten Studio\External\ApkTool</li>
<li>You can now open Virtuous Ten Studio</li>
</ol>
<br /><br /><b>STEP 4: Setting up your framework-res binary for use in VTS <span style="color: red;">(NOTE: IF THIS FAILS, MOVE ON TO STEP 5 FIRST, AFTER YOU GET THE DECOMPILE ERROR, COME BACK TO THIS STEP)</span></b><ol style="list-style-type: decimal;">
<li>Extract your framework-res.apk from /system/framework/framework-res.apk on your phone, then place it on your desktop.</li>
<li>In VTS, click File (The blue button at the top left) and click "Open Settings"</li>
<li>Under External Tools, click ApkTool</li>
<li>Click on "Add Single Framework" and when a popup comes up, type in a tag, this can be anything, but in my case, I'll use "CM12"</li>
<li>After finishing your framework tag, another popup will appear to pick the location of your framework-res.apk.</li>
<li>Click Import, then close out of the window.</li>
<li>Restart VTS.</li>
</ol>
<br /><br /><b>STEP 5: Import my APK file into VTS</b><ol style="list-style-type: decimal;">
<li>Click on New Project</li>
<li>A popup will appear to pick an APK file, navigate to where you downloaded my apk file, then press Import</li>
<li>Another bigger popup will appear and it will come with my APK's name
 under Project name, change that into a theme name that you want, I'll 
name it "Dark Theme"<br />

res -> drawable-xxxhdpi: 192x192 icon for your installer<br /><br />
res -> values -> colors.xml: global variables, good for keeping/storing<br />
res -> values -> public.xml: global public variables<br />
res -> values -> strings.xml: CM12 Theme Engine variables, pick your theme_name and theme_author<br />
res -> values -> styles.xml: defines how this gets laid out in Theme Engine.<br /><br />
assets -> overlay: folder containing changes to the UI for a specific app<br />
assets -> overlay -> android: framework-res.<br />
assets -> overlay -> com.android.appname: changes to a system app, for example com.android.systemui.<br />
assets -> bootanimations -> a bootanimation.zip with STORE 
compression and no junk files like Thumbs.db (check after compressing)<br />
assets -> ringtones<br />
assets -> lockscreen<br />
assets -> wallpapers<br />

saw some guides which weren't noob friendly lots of codes were to be

I have made this guide as easy as possible also you don't have to do any work with smalis and you can easily do it on phone<br />

REQUIREMENTS<br />
-ApkTool(Not in a mood of giving you guide for decompiling/recompiling)<br />
<br />
-Any text editor(NotePad++,920TextEditor or any other,ur choice)<br />

STEP 1<br />
Decompile your Settings.apk found in /system/app/*here<br />
<br />
<br />
STEP 2<br />
Go to Settings_src/res/xml/device_info_settings.xml and add the below

below and copy-paste dpxd.xml in Settings_src/res/layout/*here and

One more thing people ask is what shud be the resolution of the pic for 
that just take screenshot of your phone and get its dimension for 
example SGYD screenshot dimension is 320X240 then there pic size should 
be 160X240 just take half the height of ur device and full breadth<br />

STEP 4<br />
Recompile and sign, don't get your phone messed up<br />
<br />
In this guide you can add the Pic but it won't be changeable If you 
would want to change you'll hav to decompile Settings again (No 
smalis,remember XD)<br />

Service (Left menubar) --> System --> Settings --> disable "AntiPiracyNotifyService".<br />
Broadcast Receiver (Left menubar) --> System --> Settings --> disable "AntiPiracyInstallReceiver"<br />

Disable only the service will do the work, but you'll still see Notifications, until you disable the Broadcast Receiver.<br />

I think the developers will find a way to bypass this workaround, but till you update, the AntiPiracyMode is disabled.<br />

Replace some of the letters with anything.<br />
Save<br />
Copy back to /data/dalvik-cache/arm/system@priv-app@Settings@Settings.apk@classes.dex<br />
